Monaco & San Remo 2007
Monaco & San Remo, April, 2007
When you have great friends, lovely and well behaved dogs,
and beside that you're going on dog show - trip can't be bad!
This trip was fantastic! I shall never forget this!
The hotel in Monaco was cozy.
Allegro liked it!
Normy liked it.
Normy really liked it - a lot!
Life with a dog in Monaco (especially that big as our gundogs) is impossible. The parks are mostly botanical gardens marked with a “dog-forbidden-sign”.
The only one small ground (of the size 4x4 meters) was allowed for dogs so we had a lot of problems to explain to ur dogs that this is the place to do the “job”, as they were used to lots of space while doing their “job”.
Anyhow, we enjoyed exploring the streets of Monaco and for the inhabitants of Monaco,
we were quite of an attraction with our hunting dogs.
W managed to strike a pose in front of the great casino of Monte Carlo!
And have a look at this beautiful casino building and its surroundings!
The casino roof.
The fountain and garden in front of the casino.
This dress we could buy for only 5.000 EUROs.
I said rather “no thanks”, I have a better one, and much cheaper!
Tropical vegetation in Monaco….
A nice painting on one house:
The beautiful place around Opera awoke a princess in me…
Look at this beautiful building and nature that surrounds it…
Soon the “princess” showed her real face!
Here we were trying to move the “fat” monument!
But, I think we should have better started pushing together from one side…
Than we saw this…a landing place for princess Grace’s helicopter.
And Allegro enjoyed to chit chat with me here.
Normy was more suptile, he was searching the birds and breathing in the fresh sea wind…
But later on I found the bird!
Look at the roofs of higher buildings. Full of green gardens. It’s unique.
Then we went further.. This is what we saw.
A nice church with a nice door.
Sometimes we got lost, but lucky we can read hehe...
Museum of Oceanographic
And then I took a fast ride along the racing street with this funny fellow…
It was impossible to enter the home of the king… This arrogant guys didn’t let me in…
Ever wondered where the children of very rich people play?
Than we came here…
Valentina found a beautiful frame with Monaco panorama behind it…
“Picture me, picture me!” she yelled and made a pose!
We entered the rose garden of princess Grace Kelly.
and saw her beautiful statue at the older age.
and the message she left there:
And we met this funny creature too!
Than the night arrived to Monte Carlo.
In Monte Carlo real life starts at night! Especially in casino…
And my friend with a racingcar was feeling happy and ready for action!
But we were tired…
Tired from the long trip and tired from exploring the city….
And tomorrow we had a show…So we fell asleep like babies.
The next day in Monaco and the other day in San Remo we had a successful and happy show day!
In Monaco, the showground was pure organized. We had to walk on ground of betony, under the tent where usually circus has it’s performances!
Here under the white tent our show took place.
But it was still a very nice experience… As we won BOB with both dogs under the most “difficult” judges.
Allegro winning BOB in Monaco
Later in the main ring:
Norman winning BOB in Monaco
Best judge for pointers, a reputable judge Norman Huidobro, a Pointer specialist,
who later discovered that he shares the same name with his favourite Pointer!
Valentina with Norman
Norman winning BOB in San Remo, Italy!
Allegro winning the R.BEST IN GROUP in San Remo, Italy
Can we go home now, pleaaaaase?
Who could have said “no” to this big sad eyes…
So we went home,
but on the way back, we had a long conversation about our unforgettable visit to Monaco and Sanremo.
